CASE STUDY:

Trinity College

East Perth, WA

Trinity College in East Perth, Western Australia, is a prominent Catholic day and boarding school for boys, known for its strong academic tradition, extensive co-curricular program, and commitment to the holistic development of its students in the Edmund Rice tradition. It fosters values of faith, brotherhood, and service. At MyDiary we had the pleasure to create and bring to life their Junior and Senior diaries.

Stunning Covers: Trinity College's Dynamic Students

Trinity College's 2025 diaries feature stunning covers that capture the energy and diversity of their students. The senior diary showcases hands-on learning with a captivating image of a student welding, while the junior diary bursts with youthful spirit in a dynamic shot of a student athlete racing. MyDiary was thrilled to help Trinity College bring these impressive visuals to their school community.

Living the Edmund Rice Touchstones at Trinity College

As a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition, Trinity College deeply embeds the four Touchstones – Liberating Education, Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community and Justice and Solidarity – into the heart of their learning and community life. These guiding principles shape the college's commitment to holistic development. As their diary designer and provider, MyDiary was pleased to create amazing term tab dividers for Trinity College, visually representing each of these core Touchstones in their Senior diary, further reinforcing their significance throughout the school year.

Connecting Juniors to Their Houses: Trinity's Engaging Term Tabs

MyDiary was delighted to collaborate in the creation of engaging term tab dividers that beautifully showcased their four distinct Houses. Each tab not only visually represented a House but also briefly narrated its unique story and significance within the College. This thoughtful design element, incorporated into the Junior diary, helped to foster a sense of belonging and pride amongst the younger students, connecting them to the rich traditions and spirit of their House right from the start of each term.

Making it Easy: Trinity Junior School's Uniform Guide

We worked closely with Trinity College this year to create a visual, user-friendly junior school uniform page that reflects their school’s values while making everyday routines simpler. The clear layout and thoughtful design make it easy for students and families to quickly see what to wear and when. It’s a great example of how our designs can turn essential information into a clear visual guide that’s easy for students to follow and use.

Supercharging Student Success at Trinity: SMART Goals by MyDiary

Trinity College has taken a proactive approach to student development with the inclusion of termly goal-setting pages. By introducing the SMART framework—Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely at the start of each term, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning.

MyDiary were proud to support this initiative by designing clear, structured templates that prompt reflection and goal-setting across all subjects. It's a great example of how diary design can support students in building habits that drive success throughout the term and beyond.

By writing their goals in their diary, Trinity College students are encouraged to focus and connect more deeply with their intentions—creating a daily, tangible reminder that supports progress without the distractions of a digital screen.

Engaging Features in Trinity College's Custom Diary Date Section

Trinity College's custom diary features an engaging date section designed to support both learning and wellbeing. Each week highlights a "Focus on Cognitive Verbs" to build academic vocabulary, while a QR code links directly to the school's event calendar. Inspirational quotes prompt reflection and dedicated space encourages parent-teacher communication. Wellbeing is woven throughout via interactive elements like mindful colouring, images and short activities—adding a thoughtful, student-friendly touch.

We loved creating this section for Trinity College. It reflects their branding, delivers meaningful content, allows space for weekly planning and gives students opportunities to interact, reflect and grow.
