CASE STUDY:
Newborough Primary School
Karrinyup, WA
Newborough Primary School is a welcoming Independent Public School with a strong community focus and a commitment to fostering the whole child through their Positive Behaviour and Wellbeing (PBW) values of Respect, Kindness, Teamwork, and Challenge Yourself. Their motto, "Seek to Learn," is supported by the principles of think, create, collaborate.
Newborough Primary's Unique Diary Cover: Emphasising School Values
For Newborough Primary School last year, we crafted a truly distinctive diary cover. Building on one of our pre-designed templates, we worked closely with the school to create an ultra-personalised result. A standout feature of this design was a custom word collage, thoughtfully composed of key words and phrases that reflect the school’s core values – "Seek to Learn," "Challenge Yourself," "Kindness," "Teamwork" and "Respect."
This creative element not only enhanced the visual appeal of the cover but also served as a meaningful representation of the school's ethos.

Honouring Indigenous Culture: Newborough's Acknowledgement of Country Page
Newborough Primary School demonstrated a deep commitment to their Indigenous heritage by dedicating an entire page of their diary to the Acknowledgement of Country. This thoughtfully designed page features the Noongar Seasonal Calendar, beautifully illustrating and explaining the six distinct seasons (Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang) through meaningful symbols and wordings, as provided by the Bureau of Meteorology. At MyDiary, we were honoured to support and collaborate with Newborough Primary in bringing this important element to their school diary, proudly showcasing their connection to and respect for the traditional custodians of the land.

Engaging Wellbeing: Newborough’s Life 360 Diary Section
Newborough Primary School embraced our MyDiary Life 360 Wellbeing Date Section, featuring the engaging theme of Microlearning and Gamification. This pre-designed section supports the school's wellbeing initiatives by fostering resilient and confident students. It incorporates practical time management tools like homework trackers and to-do lists alongside student wellbeing features such as daily check-in prompts, microlearning content aligned with the Australian Wellbeing Curriculum, puzzles, reflections and a habit tracker with gamified rewards. Students can even have some fun finding hidden chickens throughout the diary to unlock a secret message!
