CASE STUDY:
Wesley College
Melbourne, VIC
Wesley College is a prestigious co-educational school in Melbourne, known for its broad curriculum and focus on holistic development. With campuses across the city, it offers rich learning opportunities from early childhood to Year 12. Guided by the motto "Dare to be wise," Wesley nurtures engaged, thoughtful citizens in an inclusive, supportive environment. We partnered with Wesley to create a customised junior primary diary that reflects the College’s core values and supports student growth.
Student Art Makes Wesley College Diary Cover Shine:
This year, Wesley College’s junior diary cover truly shines, thanks to a vibrant collage of student artwork blended by our professional designer. The eye-catching design not only showcases the incredible creativity of the students but also integrates seamlessly with the school’s colours and logo, creating cohesive and engaging visual branding. This stunning representation of student talent reflects the creativity and spirit of the school community, capturing the heart of Wesley College. This not only celebrated student creativity but also instilled a strong sense of pride and ownership amongst the students.

Aligning with Wesley College’s Values:
We’ve seamlessly integrated Wesley College’s approach to wellbeing, captured in the acronym ROAR (Respect, Opportunity, Achievement and Resilience) into their junior primary school diaries. The four tenets of this approach inspire students to recognise their inner strengths and develop the courage, capabilities and determination to ROAR, just like the Wesley lion.
Each week, students are prompted to reflect on one of the ROAR values, with a dedicated space for personal reflection and growth. This thoughtful design encourages students to connect with the values that guide their development, empowering them to build resilience and navigate their academic journey with strength, courage and confidence.
The diary features a clean, yet engaging layout that's easy to read. It also includes dedicated space for students to track their daily reading, a section for parent-teacher communication and mindful colouring-in activities during term breaks—perfect for junior students!
Empowering Young Learners Through Focused Goal Setting Tools
Wesley College has further strengthened the integration of the ROAR values at the start of each term through dedicated goal-setting tool pages. Each term highlights one of the four core ROAR values – Respect, Opportunity, Achievement and Resilience – encouraging students to connect with these principles in meaningful ways. These goal-setting sheets not only prompt students to reflect on how they demonstrate or observe specific values, but also incorporate targeted learner profiles, such as Inquirer and Open-Minded.
Students are prompted to provide real-life examples and set concrete, personal goals for how they can embody both the learner profiles and ROAR values throughout the term.
